Whether your favorite holiday plans take place in the snow or sand, here at Cuvée, we have our own personal and personalized ideas on the best ways to celebrate the season, based on our teams own holiday travel expertise. From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, and every celebration in between, we craft and cultivate the most meaningful moments for you and your family.
Thanksgiving in Aspen
Allison, Operations Manager
I head up high to the mountains and leave the holiday hustle behind with Thanksgiving dinner made by our Cuvée private chef who knows how to give a regional beat to the traditional comfort dishes we all love. It’s a meal I look forward to all year, my way of easing into the season. It doesn’t end there though – I never miss December’s 12 Days of Aspen, when downtown transforms into a true winter wonderland, from ice-skating to carolers, all leading to the final celebration: New Year’s Eve fireworks over Aspen Mountain.
A Very Royal Thanksgiving
Rita, VP of Operations
I like to start and end my holiday season with firelight. At Thanksgiving, it’s twinkling candles on the table for our six-star dinner on the beach, with a custom curated menu of classic favorite and fresh new dishes, all back-lit by a crackling bonfire. We often finish out the night with a private fireworks show, our very own celebration of the holiday season to come.
Christmas in Vail
Crystal, Senior Vail Valley Experience Curator
As a traditionalist, it’s all about holiday snow, especially waking up to a fresh blanket of it—a wonderful background for a family photo-shoot. I love the coziness of a horse drawn sleigh ride through Cordillera, and the starry Christmas decorations in Colorado’s historic mountain towns. And then after a day of skiing, there’s nothing like coming back to an Cuvée private chef dinner in one of our luxe mountain penthouses. It’s just so satisfying!
December in Tuscany
Francesco, Tuscany Experience Curator
There are different truffle varieties available at other times of the year—we can even take you on a Cuvée truffle hunting excursion from March until October. But the holiday also coincides with Italy’s prized white truffle season, a delicious way to mark these special months.
Another is the regional Christmas Markets like Weihnachtsmarkt, a village of wooden stalls in the Santa Croce Piazza of Florence, and Sienna’s Mercato del Campo, constructed in the spirit of a medieval market, where you’ll ejoy traditional holiday fare like mulled wine and roasted chestnuts and find artisan-crafted gifts for friends and family.
Hawaiian Holidays
Hoku, Hawaii Experience Curator
November means the annual Kona Coffee Cultural festival, a celebration of the harvest and the community life sustained by this unique bean, grown only in the Kona District, where you’ll try many different local 100% Kona coffees as well as cold brews.
Next is December’s tree lighting and Santa arrival at artist village Holualoa’s Music & Light Festival, when galleries open their doors and local musicians play in the streets. And finally, I say hello to the future at Hualalai Resort’s New Year’s Eve Gala Under the Stars. Then I know it’s going to be a great year.
Cabo Celebrations
Silvia, Los Cabos Experience Curator
Everyone mingles at Sabor a Cabo, a four day festival of regional food, wine, and spirits which coincides with the holiday season. You get to taste so much great food and meet the makers, growers, vintners, distillers and chefs who represent this particular part of Mexico. I never miss it.
It is also a tradition for me to close out the year with the fireworks over Médano Beach, when the sky is lit by thousands of colorful sparkles.
