Born and raised in Puebla City, Mexico, Chef Castro started cooking and working in the kitchen at the age of 20 and went on to train as a chef at Pizzolotto Institute of Gastronomic Arts. Arriving in Los Cabos in 2007, Sergio worked as a sous chef for Diamante Golf Clubs, executing private dinners and special events.
In 2010, he founded The Cabo Gourmet to provide professional chef services and share quality and top artisan cooking to a roster of private clients. And during that same year, Sergio simultaneously connected with Cuvée to deliver world-class culinary services to their clients around the world and opened his very first restaurant, Cabo’s lauded La Vista Restaurante.
