Here at Cuvée, we talk about travel all day. We daydream and curate the experiences of a lifetime for our discerning guests and travelers. We polled our team on their bucket list travel destinations and experiences. They run the gamut from the Caribbean island hopping by yacht, to mingling with Africa’s wildlife and natural wonders. If we can dream it, we can plan it.
Peruse our aspirations below and start planning your next Cuvée bucket list adventure.
Safari in South Africa
Rita Cuellar, VP of Destination Operations
I was lucky enough to be a part of Cuvée’s South African Gala two years ago. My dream trip would be to bring my husband Shawn back there, so we can experience one of the most miraculous places on earth together. The South African safari is one of the most impactful things I’ve ever witnessed; I don’t think I’ve ever felt quite so alive. Sitting an arm’s length away from a lion about to make his kill is truly extraordinary. We’d also climb to the top of Table Mountain where you feel like you are quite literally on top of the world. And lastly, staying at Singita is pure pleasure. The staff is so helpful, so knowledgeable, and so genuine, that I just can’t wait to go back.
Ski in a T-Shirt in the Rockies
Eric Palomaa, Director of Strategic Partnerships
My wife likes to ski, but I prefer to spend vacation working on my tan. Solution? Spring ski! The ideal combination of snow and sun rarely happens, so when it does, we’d round up our friends and head to the mountains to tick this off our bucket list. Celebrating the end of ski season in the Rockies means boundless activities for everyone in my group: from cross-country skiing; to closing-day parties in Vail and Aspen; to experiencing the art and elevated dining at our doorstep…all in a t-shirt! Happy wife, happy life!
Island Hopping Girls Getaway
Susan Farrugia, Co-Founder + COO
I’m originally from Malta, so island travel is in my blood! If I had to choose my ultimate trip, it would be rallying up my best gals for a Caribbean island-hopping getaway. We’d start in my favorite Cuvée destination, St. Barts, and stay at Vue de Rêves for a couple of incredible nights overlooking the Baie de St. Jean.
Then we’d board a yacht (we love Aquazeal here at Cuvée!) and set sail for Anguilla to our Little Bay Haven villa perched cliffside above the ocean. Finally, we’d head to the Bahamas and stay on Cuvée’s Royal Island, where we’d spend blissful days savoring the sun and sand in the most idyllic private oasis in the world.
Mingle with Celebrity Chefs at Aspen Food & Wine
Elise Boisnard, Marketing Assistant
My foodie fantasy is to spend a weekend at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic with my closest girlfriends. We would drive up to the mountains for a weekend getaway to eat our way through The Grand Tasting and experience the seminars with the most famous chefs. In spirit of the weekend, we would have a private cooking class for dinner before heading to the legendary Caribou Club– my idea of Aspen’s hotspot for a topnotch cocktail, music entertainment, and running into Food & Wine VIPS like Andrew Zimmern and my favorite Denver chef, Troy Guard.
Spend a Day with a Tuscan Winemaker
Frances Silva, Client Experience Manager
It would be my absolute dream to take my dad to Tuscany. When I was a little girl, we had a grapevine in our backyard, and he built a lattice for it to grow on. He taught himself how to make wine, he even attended classes and workshops to master this skill. I’d love for my dad to experience a day with a Tuscan Winemaker– I imagine him wearing casual khakis and we’d sport matching wide-brim felt hats. We’d sip wine from various vineyards and end our days with alfresco dinners on the terrace enjoying life Under the Tuscan Sun.
Helicopter Over Big Island Lava
Christa Weaving, VP of Marketing
I’d round up my mom and sister and transport them to Hawaii to my favorite Cuvée destination, Hualalai Estate, at the tropical oasis of the Four Seasons Hualalai. We’d sit poolside, drink rosé all day, practice our best hulas, and make time for more massages than we could count. But, most of all, I’d want them to experience the most incredible adventure touring Hawaii via helicopter, witnessing the awe-inspiring cliffs, lava beaches, and the Big Island’s stunning natural landscape. It’s truly the best way to say, “Aloha, Big Island.”
