The Bachelor Gulch was crafted into the Rockies highlighting its naturally beautiful setting with rustic charm seen from the village’s entrance. Log bridges and cabins dot the mountainside preserving its original alpine character, providing the village with a rugged yet luxe ambiance. A stay at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch places you directly on the mountain offering direct access to their dedicated chair lift and top-of-the-line ski equipment accessible at a moment’s notice. Aside from 1,800 acres of skiable terrain, the après-ski offerings are endless, making this mountain retreat far more than a ski resort.
Below, Colorado’s luxury mountain village elevating the meaning of world-class.
The History of Bachelor Gulch
Bachelor Gulch was originally settled by seven bachelors looking to put down roots succeeding the Homestead Act. Using the land for logging and raising livestock, they worked for years to mold the mountainside into crop-bearing soil and meandering irrigation. Today, we can see the reminder of their presence at Anderson’s Cabin, home of the bachelor John Anderson, now an exclusive offering to the Ritz Carlton’s many unique resort dining experiences for private après-ski dinners and year-round celebrations.
Ski-in Ski-out
The convenient access to skiing and boarding is unparalleled with an in-house ski concierge to store gear and then have it warmed and ready for the slopes at your command. Start the ski day with a breakfast buffet at WYLD before hopping on the first lift, where parents can also drop off kids with a Ski Nanny to transport to-and-from Ski School so everyone gets a piece of Beaver Creek’s terrain.
Champagne and Raw Bar
Conclude an epic Beaver Creek ski experience at the Ritz’s Mountainside terrace for Champagne and mouthwatering seafood options to enjoy. This new après-ski feature can be enjoyed daily from 11 am-4:30 pm during the ski season as you relax and reminisce your favorite runs of the day.
S’mores by the Fire
Taste the gooey goodness of an après-ski s’more with family and friends and gather around the roaring fire pit for a nightly treat under the crisp mountain sky. Graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallow kits are available for pickup between 6 pm-7:30 pm every day.
